A trio of delicious, great-value whites for all occasions, a little world tour without leaving your sofa. The Sauvignon is a dry, easy-drinking glugger, the Chenin is a little fuller, and the Morgado is a full-on food wine!
Southern Lights, Sauvignon Blanc 2019 - Marlborough, New Zealand (vg)
A fresh, vibrant wine with passionfruit, gooseberry and melon characteristics. A pleasant sweetness of fruit with a floral note through the palate together with a firm finish. Drier than most commercial styles of NZ Savvy B - only 2g of sugar per litre.
Morgado de Silgueiros, Branco 2018 - Dao, Portugal
Encruzado provides all the body and texture while the Malvazia-Fina adds freshness and fragrance to the blend. Unoaked but with a rich, oily texture that pairs perfectly with roasted white meats and fish. Winner of a Gold medal at the 2017 Wines of Portugal Awards.
Dudley's Stone, Chenin Blanc 2019 - Western Cape, South Africa (vg)
Naff label but the juice is lovely! Soft and easy-drinking, with classic Chenin Blanc characteristics of green apples, ripe pears and melon. Medium-bodied and dry.
