Six delicious wines from our list, perfect for Spring!
La Fornarina, Blanc de Blancs NV, Veneto, Italy
Fruity, lightly sparkling, fully dry. Great for a celebration or at the start of a meal to kick it off. A little addition of 10% Chardonnay adds a little extra complexity.
Taringi, Sauvignon Blanc 2019, Marlborough, NZ
A mixture of tropical & citrus fruit supported by mixed herbs and spice. This leads to a textured palate full of fruit vibrancy. Finishing with mouth watering, juicy acidity.
Gayda, 'En Passant' Macabeu/Muscat 2019, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
Peach and baked apple flavours, a creamy texture, and some floral characteristics from the Muscat. Very much a food wine, with its oily texture and bitter notes this would stand up really well to roasted white meats.
Morgado de Silgueiros, Branco 2019, Dao, Portugal
A lovely example of why many consider the Dao to be the heartland of Portuguese white wine. The Encruzado provides all the body and texture while the Malvazia-Fina adds freshness and fragrance to the blend. One of our favourite wines!
Barone Montalto, 'Collezione Famiglia' Syrah 2019, Sicily, Italy
Back in stock! An unusual grape to be found on the island of Sicily. A full-bodied, deeply flavoured red with great tannins and a toasty, spicy finish.
Gayda, 'En Passant' Syrah/Cinsault 2019, Languedoc-Roussillon, France
A medium-bodied, juicy banger of Syrah and Cinsault, with a label inspired by the Tour de France that passes through the region every year. Serve slightly chilled.
