Moreau-Naudet is a rising star in Chablis, a domaine of 25ha run by Virginie Moreau with good holdings at village level as well as premier and grand cru. Virginie’s late husband Stephane was influenced by Vincent Dauvissat when he established the domaine and the similarities continue to the current day. Grapes are hand-picked and the vineyards are farmed organically.
There is plenty of sunlight exposure on the Vaillons Hill and the grapes are normally able to reach optimum ripeness in a relatively cool climate. This ‘Vaillons’ is produced by Moreau-Naudet, a 25-hectare organic estate led by Virginie Moreau, the widow of Stéphane Moreau. Expect a rich and creamy texture on the palate, with citrus and ripe green fruits.
