Description
Notes of matchstick, pear, apple and a hint of petrol serve as the introduction to the nicely rich, vibrant and succulent flavors that conclude in a lemony and quinine-inflected finish. This is a relatively rare Bourgogne that definitely needs a few years of bottle age first. Fontaine rarely misses with this wine and the 2017 vintage will only add to that success rate. Burghound
A very pretty example, offering up notes of apple, pear, salty soil tones, spring flowers and a whisper of vanillin oak on the nose. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, wide open and ample in personality, with sound framing acids and good length and bounce on the succulent finish. This will drink well right from the start. 2018-2030. John Gilman
