So we drank a few of these and said “Wouldnt that be nice in a box for Xmas”. Just imagine waking up with some scrambled eggs with a glass of Champagne from Autreau-Roulet. As you head into Lunch you finish the fizz with canepes and tuck striaght into the Soave from Pieropan 2020, a quality and historic wine from the best producers in the region. If some of the family are more of a dry number then we have solved that problem with a Sauvignon Blanc from Cederberg in South Africa; one of the cleanest Savvy B’s out there right now. Being huge Fans of their white wine, we thought to go with the mains of beef, turkey or a nutroast the Shiraz from Cederberg 2020 will shine with its silky smooth base, crushing red berries and smokey finish.
Now for all the Old Worlders out there, I have not left you out I promise. From the hills of Mount Etna in Italy I bring you Benanti Etna Rosso 2020 – Nerello Mascalese running through this like its a big heavy number but with the art of winemaking these guys show its true flavours of dark black berries, light and lifted with leather notes. To finish we bring you one of the classic Christmas drinks, a bottle of Port. You can chill it if that tickles ya fancy?
